Agricultural water storage pond
In agriculture, water is stored in special water ponds or natural wetlands for later uses.Theses ponds are filled by rainwater, groundwater infiltration or surface runoff. They are usually open, and therefore exposed to high levels of evaporation. They can be a great help to farmers in helping them overcome dry spells. Farmers commonly use geomembrane to seal the ponds and prevent water leakage.
